Proposed by Atlanta-based Watkins Real Estate Group and designed by Jim Strickland and Historical Concepts of Peachtree City, designers of downtown Senoia, the initial proposal included the construction of seven buildings containing 190 luxury apartments, 5,252 sq. ft. of retail, 7,000 sq. ft. of restaurant space, 391 vehicular parking spaces and 75 golf cart spaces.

Senoia will begin offering a pre-trial diversion program for defendants in city court. The pre-trial diversion is part of the 2019 contract with CSRA Probation Services, which provides probation supervision services for the city court.

Grantville had a hard-fought campaign for the mayor’s post and two council seats. Incumbent Mayor Doug Jewell and Council member Ruby Hines held onto their posts, but Jim Sells, former mayor, defeated Councilman Willie Kee by a razor-thin margin.
