The Perry City Council approved the construction of a 72 unit Multi Family development on 1820 Macon Rd. In a 3-2 vote the Council accepted the application for special exception placed by Integrity Development Partners LLC, (IDP) at the Tuesday meeting. Residents of Cheshire Place Subdivision joined forces to prove the development would be a hindrance to the community.

The City of Perry’s Communications Manager, Ellen Palmer introduced a new and exciting tool for the citizens of Perry to now utilize during a work session held by the Perry City Council Monday evening. The "Your Perry Mobile” app is a brand-new development that gives the citizens of Perry touch access to a variety of functions that connect them to local events and services within the city. Palmer stated that the app has already received over 500 downloads in less than a week of its availability.

Local consultants of the team offered encouragement and advice on local economic, tourism, and historical development that they observed happening and needing to take place in Perry.
