Brandon Sikes was sworn in by Mayor Ed Boyd on Tuesday, Nov. 13, to serve as the District 1, Seat 3 council member of Metter City Council. Sikes was elected during the Nov. 6 mid-terms to fill the unexpired term of Councilwoman Marsha Colson Holloway who resigned when she moved out of the district.

At the conclusion of a third public hearing on Wednesday, Sept. 19, Metter City Council went into a called meeting to approve the 2018 Millage Rate at 11.983 mills. This is a two-mill increase over the 2017 tax rate of 9.983 mills.
