House Bill 40 provides for an additional exemption from county and municipal excise tax on rooms, lodgings, and accommodations if paid for using a hotel/motel voucher certified by the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) or by any local government jurisdiction designated as an entitlement community by the United State Department of Housing and Ubran Development (HUD).
